LLF - Stepping into 6th Academic Year with more School Partnerships

So folks, as we leap into our journey of 6th academic year, Eram Model School, Lucknow has tied up with us to provide education to the extremely needy and deserving students – by absorbing 50% of their fees (while remainder will be raised by us). This couldn’t have come at a better time when we were looking for expanding our reach to the extreme corners of the city; making sure that we don’t miss out any deserving cases that came across us. Eram Model Schools have 16 branches in Lucknow, and all have them are affiliated with U.P. Board.

We request our members to look out for any deserving students among the following area schools of our foundation, these schools have been cooperating with us since our inception by submitting the Performance Monitoring Sheets* of each and every student sponsored by us on a monthly basis:

If you happen to know any under-privileged child staying in Gomtinagar area, Lucknow and wants to attend school. Modern Academy Inter College, Viram Khand will accept 5 such children from our foundation in class: K.G, Montessori, and Ist. No tuition fees will be charged from these children...even the books will be provided free of cost to them. This could be your servant's child or a roadside vendor's child....please do let us know.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP FOR MINORITY STUDENTS

The objective of the Fellowship is to provide integrated five year fellowships in the form of financial assistance to students from minority communities, as notified by the Central Government to pursue higher studies such as M. Phil and Ph.D. The Fellowship will cover all Universities/Institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) and section 3 of the UGC Act and will be implemented by the Ministry of Minority Affairs through UGC for students belonging to the minority communities. The fellowship under Maulana Azad National Fellowship for minority students will be on the pattern of UGC Fellowships awarded to research students pursuing regular and full time M. Phil and Ph.D courses. The fellowship holders under this Fellowship will be known as Ministry of Minority Affairs scholars.

LLF helps a bright Class 9th student of Montfort Inter College

LLF helps a bright Class 9th student of Montfort Inter College, Mahanagar from getting dropped out of school by helping him with Rs.10,000/- towards his overdue tuition fees - else he would have missed his final exams. Thanks to all of you for their support with money and prayers without which this boy would have dropped out from the school.

Motivational/Counselling Session at Brains Convent School, Raja Bazaar, Lucknow

Lucknow Literacy Foundation (formerly Aaghaz Educational Foundation) will be conducting a Motivational/Counselling Session for the 10th and 12th class Students of Brains Convent School, Rastogi Tola, Raja Bazaar, Lucknow on February 20, 2010 between 11 AM - 1 PM.

We request all our members and well wishers to participate (if they are in Lucknow) in such kind of activities and help these students in planning out a career. LLF with your support is sponsoring 29 students in this school, and they all come from extremely needy layer of our community. It is our duty to guide these students in a best possible manner so that they can carve a better future for themselves.

Scholarships for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Students

The scholarship forms for the needy student - who are either in Class 1 through any professional courses are available at our office in Lucknow. The scholarships are provided by the State and Central Government. The funds for Post-Matric scholarships goes unused every year - henceforth all minority students are encouraged to apply for them. LLF members and supporters attended the "Motivational / Counselling Session" at Farheen Public High School. The students of Class 10th and 12th attended this program. The program was conducted by Mr. Usman Siddiqui, with inputs from Mr. Arif Durrani and Dr. Rishad Rizvi. Thanks to all who made this possible.
